for saxophone quartet

duration: 7 minutes

Monopoly
Mono-phonic: poly-phonic. The same pitch, different rhythms - or, the same rhythm, different pitches? Four instruments play alternately in rhythmic unity and in counterpoint, borrowing each other's notes and/or rhythms to do so. Outbreaks of unison pitches for all four appear from time to time. The ensemble plays tutti throughout.
